Welcome from our award-winning, multicultural Academy Trust.
I believe that children have only one chance to succeed at School and over my career as Headteacher at Thames View Infants – and CEO of TVI Learning – has been dedicated to getting this right: giving our children – and their families – the best start in life and the best education possible.
We work hard to provide a caring, fun, vibrant and supportive learning community where every child and their family really do matter. We value ‘Parents as Partners’ and aim to help everyone, young or old, achieve their best!
We have been incredibly successful with this at Thames View Infants, which has attainment within the top 3% of all schools nationally at Expected and within the top 1% at Greater Depth. For some years now, its been ranked as the highest achieving Infant School within Barking and Dagenham, also out-performing the majority of Schools across London. Thames View Infants was judged as ‘outstanding‘ by Ofsted in March 2009 and again in April 2014.
When the DfE formally asked us to build a brand new School to sit within our Trust, I was excited at the possibility of extending our shine and unique ethos and sparkle further afield – making a greater difference to new pupils and families recently moved to live within the shadow of where once stood “the view of Fords”.
Fords View Primary will grow to house a Nursery and 3 classes in each year group, from Reception to Year 6. We aspire for it to be one of the best Primary Schools within the country. The design will be driven by educationalists who know the right sort of learning environment that children need to thrive in and it will be run by my team, steeped in years of experience and wisdom.
Embracing the same culture and ethos of TVI, at Fords View Primary we will be dedicated to getting it right for you and your family. When we open, you’ll be reassured of our vision to give your child the best learning experience possible and to offer you exemplary customer service and family support.
Together with your valued support and careful parenting, your child will leave Fords View exceptionally well prepared for the next Stage in their Education: great British Citizens – having benefited from a rich and creative curriculum: happy, empowered learners; confident leaders of the future; compassionate, articulate, reasoned and tolerant; and masters in Literacy and Numeracy.
2027/8 will be soon upon us – so stay tuned for updates and I hope to meet you nearer the time!

Headteacher, Thames View Infants;

At this stage, the precise location of our School within the Beam Park Development is yet to be defined. However, “the site is the former home of one of the largest car plants in the world. It was most recently used for a dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and formed the backdrop for the popular British film ‘Made in Dagenham’”. (Text courtesy of Beam Park Development).
In bygone years, the local landscape would once have been dramatically dominated by a view of the Fords works. And in a nod towards the rich heritage of this area, we’ve tried to preserve this legacy within the name of our exciting new School.
CREATING A MEMORABLE SPACE
“As a site with such a rich and unique history, (the) vision for Beam Park seeks to create a place that sustainably supports a community through provision of exceptional housing options and green space. A place that local people want to be, and can afford to live in.
Connections to existing communities and transport connections are therefore essential to draw people into, and to stay, in Beam Park. Providing easy and safe connections to both the new Beam Park station and the Dagenham Dock station to the south-west of the site will ensure that Beam Park lives up to its potential as an exemplar development on London Riverside”.
